Tamazight Moussaoui Arrested

Tamazight Moussaoui, a teacher of Tamazight language from Tuvert province, has been arrested by the Algerian police for expressing her opinion on facebook about the legislative elections held last July.

Tamazight was known for her cultural and social  involvement  in Kabylian society by being active on social media.

 She’s arbitrarily detained, and risks 2 years imprisonment, the verdict will be pronounced on September 22, 2026.

KHR organization is very alarmed about targeting citizens who peacefully express  their views, which is a fundamental human right. It requests her immediate and unconditional release.
