Riad Ayth Baziz kidnapped by the Algerian National Gendarmerie

Riad  Ayth Baziz, a Kabylian citizen from Ighil Ali, known for his peaceful and  staunch activism. He always defended and required the release  of Kabylia's detainees from the Algerian prisons. 

On July 28th, 2025, he was kidnapped from his home by the  Nationale Gendarmerie, then arrested. Later in the day, he was transferred to the Setif department where an Algerian prosecutor issued for him an arrest warrant. 


The KHR organization denounces this unlawful  arrest, and calls for his immediate and unconditional release.
