Yesterday, June 04th, 2026, Mourad Chabane, who served 03 years arbitrary sentence for his peaceful activism, was arrested again and detained. Mourad might be condemned for another sentence by the Algerian regime which is pursuing political attrition against vocal activists.

KHR organization is alarmed by his second arrest and deeply concerned by the harassment he has endured. We urge the Algerian judicial apparatus to immediately release him.
